How do you play the AI crossword?

Tap a square or a clue, type the answer, and watch each solved word turn gold. Each answer comes with a one-line explanation, so you learn the term as you solve it.

Each level starts with 5 stars. Check is free and marks wrong letters. A hint gives an easier second clue for 1 star. Revealing a letter costs 1 star and a word costs 2. Every solved level keeps at least 1 star unless you reveal the whole puzzle, which asks first and then completes the level with zero stars.

You can type a whole answer. Letters already locked in by crossing words are kept, so your typing stays lined up. Keyboard: arrow keys move, Space switches direction, Enter goes to the next clue and Shift+Enter to the previous one. Tab leaves the grid.
